Rights of Way Volunteer Surveyor

Hertfordshire County Council are currently recruiting for an ambitious Rights of Way volunteer scheme to have all parishes in Hertfordshire surveyed by a trained volunteer on a regular basis. There are 2000km of public paths of various designations in Hertfordshire that require regular surveying to ensure they are accessible and safe.

Are you passionate about your Parish and would you be interested in volunteering to become a regular Rights of Way Surveyor?

Following a half day training, you'll be supplied with the maps for you to survey, plus some basic kit to undertake small improvements such as replacing waymarker discs or trimming back vegetation. A volunteer role description can be found here

When and how you survey the RoW in your Parish* is up to you. You can do a little at a time, or plan a day's walking
